Prints
I am interested in gesture, movement and shadow, pattern and texture. My prints are figurative and made in series with a stencil technique. They suggest stories, which are left to the viewer's imagination as "characters" shift and multiply, each print different from, yet born out of, the one before. Split selves and shadows emerge as figures move through space and, by implication, through time. Method and subject work together: the process creates shadows on the plate as the original form meets itself, dissolves and is renewed.
As you can see, by looking at the albums, my prints are all unique, yet made in series. If the print shown is not available, another of the same series might be.
The prints are sold unframed and priced by size and the number of zinc plates involved in the process. They are printed with etching ink on archival quality paper: Arches, BFK Rives or Hahnemuhle German Etch. The prices do not include PST (provincial sales tax) or shipping costs.
